Cabinet Restoration Products


The condition of the cabinet is one of the most important factors affecting the value of enjoyment of any Antigue Phonograph. To decide what you hsould do first, you must determine the contion of your cabinet. First, we recomend that you clean the cabinet with Kotton Klenser to clean off the dirt and heavy wax buildup. After using Kotton Klenser, follow it up with Howard's Feed-N-Wax for a great warm finish. We also offer Howard Orange Oil to give your cabinet a clean shinny polish.

Howard Restor-A-Finish
We are pleased to offer the following Howard Products

Howard Restor-A-Finish is the end result of a search for a product that would permanently eliminate surface belmishes in wood finishes and restore the original color and luster without removing any of the existing finish. With a simple wipe on, wip off process. Most furniture that seems to need a complete refinishing job can be completely restored in a few minutes. Scratches, oxidation, white heat rings, water marks, smoke damage, sun fade, etc. quickly disappear. So before you strip it, try restoring it. Restore-A-Finish is available in five different colors.

Important: When ordering, please specify color including the wood care kit.

Golden Oak:
For all golden brown shades of Oak
Walnut:
For all medium brown tones of Walnut
Mahogany:
For all reddish shades of Mahogany
Dark Walnut:
For all medium dark finishes of Dark Walnut and Mohogany

Polishing Compound (liquid form): Howard's polishing compound (8 oz. bottle) is specially formulated for restoring the shine to wood finishes. It brings back the original shine by polishing out fine scratches and reviving dull areas in the wood finish. For best results, apply with fine steel wool after using Howard's Restor-A-Finish. It also can be used for improving the shine of your cabinet. This compund is completely safe to use on lacquer, shellac, varnish and polyurethane finishes.

Feed-N-Wax: To preserve the "New Look" Howard Feed-N-Wax was developed specifically to be used after Restor-A-Finish to maintain the restored "New Look" by first "feeding" the finish with natural oils, including orange oil and sealing the surface with a coat of long lasting carnauba wax and beeswax. This prevents further oxidation, drying and cracking of the finish. This wax only requires occasional reapplication. This unique beeswax formula polishes to a soft luster without leaving oily or gummy residue.

Orange Oil: Howard Orange Oil is a superior cleaner and polish for all wood surfaces. While it cleans, it also replenishes oils in both finish and unfinished wood surfaces. Howard Orange Oil contains no linseed oil, wax or silicons, only the fragrance of orange and a clean luster remains on the wood surface.

Kotton Klenser: Kotton Klenser is great for rejuvinating damaged, original varnished finish on wood cabinets. Kotton Klenser also cleans and restores. Follow up with Howard Feed-N-Wax.

Heavy Duty Kotton Klenser: This product is to restore teh luster on your metals phonograph parts. This will remove blemishes and rust stains to restore shiny metal. Use on nickel or chrome colored parts. Do not use on cold parts. The gold plating and/or paint may come off with the use of this product.

Price: 6.50 per 16oz container (Heavy Duty strenth for metal parts)

Metal Parts Cleaning Service: Remove any or all nickel(chrome color) partsthat you want cleaned and send them to us. We will use the Kotton Klenser (Heavy Duty) to restore them. No gold color parts please. Very Heavily damaged partswould need replating.
